Philly native Audrey Landers has a little something up her sleeve as she prepares for a return to her hometown for Yachtstock on the banks of the Delaware River this coming weekend.

Yachtstock River Jam, in its 17th year, is one of the more popular summer concert series in the five-county region and benefits children's charities.

Landers told me during a recent phone interview that she may even do a little number just for fun - something from "Dallas," perhaps.

But it's Landers' son, Daniel Landers, who's in the spotlight this go 'round.

He'll be joining country singer Amanda Watkins and more than 50 bands for the live-music concert series that benefits Shriner's Hospital. It's this Saturday (June 27) from noon to 10 p.m. at The Deck at Harbor Pointe (101 Taylor Ave.) and the West End Boat Club (500 W 2nd St.), in Essington.

Daniel, 21, has been performing since he was 2 years old, following in his mother's artistic footsteps.

"It's always nice to come back home, isn't it?" proud-mom Audrey said. "Daniel has made some pretty nice strides in his career, thus far.

"He was a finalist on the 'X Factor' in Europe. He's a very prolific songwriter and a dynamic performer and singer. He has more than 100 songs in his catalogue."

Landers told me that young Landers has had some placements of his music in independent feature films, and he is currently composing all the music for an upcoming teen-fiction book trilogy. His song "Love Me Tonight" has been chosen as the theme song for the trilogy.

Coverage starts today

CBS3 leading lady Jessica Dean accompanied a Philly delegation - which included Mayor Nutter - to Rome this week to begin making preparations for Pope Francis.

Dean reports live today from Rome on "Eyewitness News" at 5 p.m.

Dean told me that she visited Rome once before when she was studying abroad. It was around Easter-time and the beautiful flowers were still on display in St. Peter's Square. Pope John Paul II died only a few days after she came back to the states.

"I'm thrilled to be in Rome as the delegation finalizes the plans for Pope Francis' visit in September," Dean told me.

"It's exciting to document this for all of us in Philadelphia as we get ready for this once-in-a-lifetime event. The great thing about my job is, I can experience something like this firsthand and share that experience with everyone at home, so they can feel like they're there as well."

The four-day visit to Rome from Philly folks includes Nutter, Archbishop Charles Chaput and other city and archdiocese leaders, to prepare for the World Meeting of Families, Sept. 22-27.

OUT AND ABOUT

Some Philadelphia Eagles players sipped some suds at McGillin's Olde Ale House over the weekend.

Sources say that Eagles tight end Eric Tomlinson, defensive end Travis Raciti and guard Cole Manhart stopped in. I hear they were really friendly with fellow guests, danced and posed for pictures with McGillin's manager, Gaby Gock.

Deana Sings Dino

Dean Martin's daughter will be singing some of her father's most beloved hits for a special performance this fall.

On Oct. 10 at 8 p.m., catch Deana Martin in "Deanna Sings Dino," a live tribute concert in the intimate setting of the Perelman Theatre at the Kimmel Center (300 S. Broad St.).

Martin will take audiences back in time four decades to when her father and "uncles" Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr., plus Judy Garland, made musical history.
