Peddler's Village Parade

BYO flashlight to a kids-centric pre-party of merchant trick-or-treating, Halloween-y acoustic rock, and a 6 p.m. costume parade. Tomorrow, Giggleberry Fair does giveaways and a count-the-candy contest. Scarecrows on display through Sunday.

Parents Night Out

Organ Extravaganza

The stirring Fred J. Cooper organ will spook folks out. One of the country's busiest, best haunts starts freaking you out when you're in line on Fairmount, then lets you pick your fright level while walking though hi-tech halls of this extra-creepy, relatively recently vacated jail.

The city's official celebration of Dia de los Muertos goes all out with an artists-made ofrenda (altar), loads of crafts (make skull masks, tissue flowers, sugar skulls, paper mache), tours, dancing starting at 12:30 p.m. and a mariachi fashion show at 2:30 p.m. Costumed guests get half off tickets.
