Men in Saudi Arabia get text alerts when their women leave the country

A woman in Saudi Arabia has historically needed a "yellow slip" signed by her male guardian (husband, father, etc.) in order to be allowed to travel outside of the country. But, it's the future and "slips" are archaic. So, Saudi Arabia—the progressive nation that it is—has replaced the Yellow Slip program with a new SMS system that alerts men when their women cross the border, even if she's traveling with her male guardian.
