Radio host, fired after groping accusations, sues Taylor Swift
A former Denver radio personality has filed a lawsuit against singer and Berks County native Taylor Swift, saying he lost his job after being accused of inappropriately touching Swift during a photo session.
The Denver Post reports Mueller was backstage with his girlfriend Shannon Melcher for a meet and greet with Swift when the singer "suddenly announced it was picture time."
Swift "quickly put her arm" around Melcher, while Mueller jumped in "at the last second," according to The Post. Swift then thanked the couple and they left.
Afterwards, according to the Post, a member of Swift's security team approached Mueller and accused the radio host of grabbing Swift's butt earlier in the night. According to the lawsuit, security members surrounded the couple, verbally abused them and escorted them to an exit door.
It says Mueller was fired two days later from his job at KYGO radio.
