IN CASE ANY of Eagles receiver
Hank Baskett
's teammates haven't yet seen his fiancee naked, they have another chance.
Kendra Wilkinson
is on the cover of the February
Playboy
and in a layout called "Good Bye Girls."
Wilkinson looks far better naked inside than she does overly re-touched on the mag's cover.
The mag says that Baskett and Wilkinson's June 27 wedding at the Playboy Mansion, at which Hugh Hefner will give her away, will be covered for a spin-off series of E!s "The Girls Next Door," as will the wedding preparations.
Kidd Chris returns
to Philly
The Beatoffs, featuring former 94 WYSP morning host Kidd Chris, will perform Feb. 27 at Bootlegger's (1936 MacDade) in Woodlyn, Delco. Chris, who now lives in San Antonio, assures us that Lady Gash, the musician whose racist song performed in studio led to his being fired last May, will not be on the bill.
Out and about
* Cesar Millan, better
known as the Dog Whisperer, and his wife, Ilusion, celebrated their anniversary at Cuba Libre (10 S. 2nd) on Friday night. The couple sipped mojitos and danced during the lounge's Late Night Latin floor show. The TV dog-behavior specialist was in town working QVC.
* Derek St. Holmes, former
guitarist for Ted Nugent, joined Get the Led Out Saturday night on stage at the Electric Factory, where the killer Led Zeppelin tribute act was performing. St. Holmes shredded through "Rock N' Roll," and then sang Nugent's classic "Stranglehold," with the GTLO, the only non-Zeppelin song they performed. 93.3 WMMR's Jacky Bam Bam was among the crowd gone wild.
* Greg Gross, of the 1980 World Series
Phillies team, is quite a tipper. Gross (who is of no relation to Your Humble Narrator) tipped close to 70 percent the other night at Davio's (111 S. 17th), where he had a Caesar salad and whole-wheat pasta bolognese with friends.
* Phillies GM Ruben Amaro Jr. caught
up with his mother the other day over lunch at Popi's (3120 S. 20th), where they also enjoyed a few desserts.
Musical notes
Donations in memory of veteran Philadelphia musician/guitar teacher Linda Cohen, who died of cancer over the weekend, can be made to MusiCares, 11 W. 42nd St. 27th Floor, New York, NY 10036, or online at grammy.com/MusiCares. The charity is designed to provide benefits to musicians in need. It's run by the Recording Academy.
* In other Recording Academy news,
several dozen musicians and producers gathered last night at the Bellevue, at the offices of the Philadelphia chapter, to celebrate locals who are up for Grammys next month. Singer Bunny Sigler is nominated, as are James Poyser and Ahmir ?uestlove Thompson for the pair's work producing Al Green.
Eagles playoffs are Platt's loss
Usually Michael O'Rourke is serving tables at Chops (401 City Ave.) in Bala Cynwyd, but on Sunday night he dined there with wife Jenny, a Radnor High teacher, as guests of Philadelphia magazine editor Larry Platt, and spouse Bet Mizgala, a teacher. A few months back, after the Eagles were crushed by the Ravens, Platt and Mizgala were at Chops, where O'Rourke, their server, said he knew the team would still make the playoffs. Platt thought he was crazy and they bet a meal at Chops on it.
We goofed on WIFI spot
WIFI is at 1460 on the AM dial, not 1540 as we mistakenly reported in yesterday's column, while writing about its sale. *
