is suing the rapper, according to TMZ.com, because when Mary asked Method for an autograph outside of his show in Houston last November, she claims he "pulled out an air gun and . . . began firing pellets."

Anderson says she was struck at least six times.

She is suing for unspecified damages.

Note to celebrities: When you don't wish to sign an autograph, a simple "No" will suffice.

Aniston OK with rough patch

For a woman who's linked to a different hunky guy every other week, it can be difficult to see Jennifer Aniston as the poster child for lonely, 40-year-old women.

But as she says in Elle magazine, she's aware of what the haters are whispering.

"I'm not going to ignore the pink elephant in the living room," she tells Elle. "It's fine. I can take it.

"If I'm the emblem for 'this is what it looks like to be the lonely girl getting on with her life,' so be it," she says. "I can make fun of myself. And I'll bring it up as long as the world is bringing it up."

If she's the emblem, where can we get an iron-on?

Heidi's baby-weight secrets

Supermodel Heidi Klum says there's no trick to losing her post-baby belly - even at age 36.

Well, there's one trick - have the genes of a supermodel.

"I've never really had any special girdle machines or anything like that," she said. "For me, it's, you know, really healthy foods, exercising, playing with the children, going to the park. Normal things."

"I've never done diets," she added. "But I also do not sit on the couch with my feet up and eat one potato- chip bag after the next and one burger after the other. I think you have to kind of do a little bit of everything."

Klum said it's easier to drop post-pregnancy weight it you make getting a shape a priority after giving birth, she said.

"I never really put a lot of pressure on myself, but for me personally, I feel like it is always better to get into shape immediately. I feel like if I drag it out too long, I'm not going to do it," she said. "So for me it works to kind of get back into shape; afterwards, I feel great. I can put my normal clothes back on and it makes me happy, and it's worked so far."

Two important motivators: The "normal" clothes Heidi gets to put back on are supermodel clothes and when she looks in the mirror after losing the weight, she sees Heidi Klum.

* Dolly Parton's "9 to 5"

may be closing in September, but that doesn't mean Broadway will be done with perky blondes with a twang.

Lorrie Morgan has been added to the cast of "Pure Country," which is expected to open on Broadway early next year.

Producer Randall Wreghitt says Morgan will join country star Joe Nichols in the musical based on the hit 1992 movie starring George Strait and Lesley Ann Warren.

The film has been adapted for the stage by Peter Masterson. It will have a score by Steve Dorff, who wrote songs for the film, including two No. 1 country singles, "Heartland" and "I Cross My Heart." Both will be in the stage version.

* Horse-racing fans will soon be able

to do more than toast super filly Rachel Alexandra in the winner's circle.

She's about to get her own line of wines.

Kendall-Jackson Winery announced yesterday that a limited edition of wines honoring their 3-year-old will be ready for the holiday.

The winery says that fewer than 300 cases of the wines will be produced and that each bottle will have Rachel's image. Jess Jackson and wife Barbara Banke co-own the winery. Jackson bought Rachel Alexandra in May, after the filly won the Kentucky Oaks by 20 1/4 lengths.

Rachel herself, we believe, will be partial to the Merloat. With fish? The chardonnhay.

* London Film Festival organizers

say this year's October event will close with the world premiere of a film about John Lennon's formative years in Liverpool.

"Nowhere Boy" depicts Lennon at age 15 and follows his relationship with his estranged mother, Julia, and with his Aunt Mimi, who raised him.

It is the first feature from visual artist Sam Taylor-Wood and stars newcomer Aaron Johnson as Lennon, Kristin Scott Thomas as Mimi and Anne-Marie Duff as Julia.

* As a rebuke to Web sites that

called for a moratorium on Megan Fox stories and images, E! Online declared yesterday National Megan Fox Awareness Day.

The London Sun also declared it Megan Fox Day.

Finally, a holiday when the flags stand at full mast.
