Tattle: Blogger: Sarah Madson takes a swing at the fans

SARAH MADSON, wife of Phillies reliever Ryan Madson, has been quoted bashing Phillies fans during a recent interview with a blogger at a charity event, reports the People Paper's Dan Gross.
Laura Goldman, who has written recently for Metro, entered on her blog, Naked Philadelphian, that Sarah Madson had told her: "I hate the fans. It is bad enough that they bother us during the season, but they will not leave us alone in December when we go out to eat. We stayed here during the off season last year, but we will be going to California this year. There must be something particularly bad about Phillies fans because all the players leave in the off season."
According to Goldman's blog, Madson, five months pregnant with the couple's fourth child, also complained at the March 31 event for MANNA at the Loews Hotel about female fans of her husband's. "Can you believe that they have the gall to give my husband their number in front of me?"
After Deadspin posted the statements, the Crossing Broad blog uncovered some information about Goldman, such as the former stockbroker being on probation for stalking a financier over a 1996 situation with Boston businessman Thomas Lee. She was extradited from Israel in 2009 as a fugitive from justice.
"Sarah did not consent to an interview, but rather was approached by Ms. Goldman, who did not identify herself as a reporter," reads a statement from the Phillies. "She began to ask many personal questions about the life of a wife of a professional baseball player. The comments reported by Ms. Goldman were taken completely out of context, and as a result, Sarah is extremely upset and feels violated by the situation. Sarah says, "For every one fan that may upset us, there are 99 Phillies fans that we love. We have lived here for years, have many friends, neighbors and acquaintances - who also happen to be Phillies fans - for whom we have the utmost respect."
Goldman tells us she stands by her quotes, which were made in a one-on-one interview with Sarah at the MANNA fundraiser. She also posted a response, saying that she had identified herself as a reporter several times and that she had not taken Madson's quotes out of context.
Love bites
Courtney Cox and David Arquette haven't been bashful about playing out their divorce in the public eye. While most stars try to cut the cord with as little media attention as possible, Cox and Arquette are blabbing all over the airwaves about their marital strife. Usually it's the wacky (or the face-slappingly irritating) Arquette who is running his mouth, but now Cox is in on the action, too.
The couple, who announced their separation in January, are on the talk-show circuit supporting "Scream 4," which hits theaters today. On Wednesday, Cox went on "The Late Show With David Letterman" and talked about her recent trip to Disney World, with daughter Coco and Arquette in tow.
"He did try to hit on me, yeah," Cox told Letterman. "He hit pretty hard, and I said, 'You know, you don't have the Fast Pass right now. Not to that ride!' "
Yesterday, Cox crashed Arquette's appearance on the Howard Stern Show and elaborated: "Whenever I would like need consoling from David . . . he could not literally put his arm around me for one second without completely getting [really excited]," Cox told Stern, who actually seemed sympathetic.
Arquette then said he would like to reconcile, but Cox said that ain't happening anytime soon.

Harry Potter has some competition. Bonnie Wright, who plays Harry's lady love Ginny Weasley, is engaged to Jamie Campbell Bower, who played Volturi member Caius in "Twilight: New Moon" and plays Arthur in Starz's boobilicious retelling of "Camelot."
* People is reporting that Jennifer Aniston and Bradley Cooper are getting mighty friendly again, after his recent breakup with Renee Zellweger. Jen and Bradley were linked in 2009, and an anonymous source told People that they have since kept in touch.
Spurlock-down
The good people of Altoona have sold their souls to . . . Morgan Spurlock.
Spurlock is currently hawking his new product placement documentary "POM Wonderful Presents The Greatest Movie Ever Sold," which closed out Cinefest last night. In a movie full of stunts, he added another one by buying the naming rights to our neighbors to the west for a reported $25,000. For 60 days starting April 27, Altoona will be renamed POM Wonderful Presents the Greatest Movie Ever Sold, Pa. Spurlock's doc opens in Philly on April 22.
Spurlock chose Altoona because it's "a shining example of struggling cities all across America." The money garnered from the sale of the naming rights will be funneled into the city's police department.
"Clearly, the people of Altoona have a sense of humor," said the city's mayor, Bill Schirf, "and an asking price."
So long, soaps
ABC has announced it will cancel "All My Children" and "One Life to Live." "All My Children" will say goodbye in September; "One Life to Live" will wrap in January.
Both shows were created by Agnes Nixon, one of daytime TV's most famous creative forces, and modeled after fictional Philadelphia-area towns. "One Life to Live" debuted on July 15, 1968, as a half-hour, expanding to an hour 10 years later. "All My Children" began Jan. 5, 1970, expanding to an hour seven years later. Lady Tattle figures negotiations over the cancellation involved plenty of intrigue, backstabbing and executives falling into mysterious comas.
Filling in for "All My Children" is "The Chew," hosted by celebrity chef Mario Batali. Tim Gunn will take over "One Life to Live" 's spot with "The Revolution," a makeover show that focuses less on wardrobe and more on "health and lifestyle transformations."
Howard Gensler is on vacation.
