Williams takes the stage

6ABC's Rick Williams is currently starring in the Moorestown Theater Company's production of "Bye Bye Birdie," as Albert Peterson, the role made famous by Dick Van Dyke in the 1963 film adaptation.

Williams, his wife and 11-year-old son have made performing with the Moorestown Theater a summer tradition, and he has been working with the company since 2008.

For the role of Peterson, Williams has to tap dance, sing four songs and carry a heavy dialogue load. "I thought I bit off more than I could chew," he said. So why not try out for the lighter role of Elvis-esque Conrad Birdie? "The guy who plays Conrad has to shake his hips in a way in which I think I would probably pull something," Williams said.

Tickets for this, the final weekend of performances can be purchased at

OUT AND ABOUT

Taylor Swift and her posse (including openers Austin Mahone and Ed Sheeran) had a late-night dinner at Ralph's Italian Restaurant (760 S. 9th St.) after her sold-out show at Lincoln Financial Field on Friday night.

After his Saturday show, Mahone stopped by the Susquehanna Bank Center to catch Lil' Wayne's America's Most Wanted Festival. Mahone, of course, is the teen ambassador for Weezy's Trukit clothing line.

Before leaving, Sheeran stopped off at Legal Sea Foods at Philadelphia International Airport.

* Del Frisco's saw its own musical royalty when rapper T.I. popped into dinner at the steakhouse on Sunday to dine in a private room with a small group. The rapper, a/k/a Tip Harris, came in right before closing time, but the restaurant stayed open late for him.

* T.I. wasn't the only celeb partying it up at the Center City spot. I also hear that Toronto Raptor Rudy Gay helped celebrate his brother's upcoming nuptials by throwing him an engagement party.

Philadelphia Style's '20s-themed Best of Philly Style party last Thursday at North Broad's Vie was wall-to-wall celebs, including (to name just a few) NBC10's Sheena Parveen and Rosemary Connor, CBS3's Chris May, QVC host Erin Elmore, and Tony Luke Jr and fiancee Jennifer Schloder.
