Getting to be a habit
What is this rage for singing priests and nuns who go viral? First, you had Irish tenor Father Ray Kelly, who sweetly sang Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" at a wedding where he was officiating - and got 28 million views on YouTube. Now you have Sister Cristina Scuccia, whose great voice, and taste for Cyndi Lauper, Mariah Carey, and Alicia Keys tunes has gotten her on Italy's version of The Voice and garnered 47 million views on YouTube!! The judges better choose her, or there'll be hell to pay . . . .
Simon sighting
Paul Simon performed in N.Y.C. Wednesday night at an awards show, his first time out in public since he and wife Edie Brickell were arrested on disorderly conduct charges in New Canaan, Conn.
'Housewives' hubbub
Apollo Nida, husband of Phaedra Parks (Real Housewives of Atlanta), and a frequent presence on the show, pleaded guilty Tuesday in a Georgia court to charges of mail, wire, and tax fraud with more than 50 victims. Could get him up to 30 years in Slammerville.
Kardashian kackle
How 'bout this nasty rumor that Bruce Jenner, titular (and at the moment out-of-favor) head of the Kardashian Klan, is planning to "transition" to being a lady? His looks have been changing a lot lately, which may be the (completely flimsy) foundation for the whispers. . . . Speaking of Kardashian tattle, remember this wildfire talk that the imminently married Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were going to do a quickie civil ceremony any moment now, then have a proper gala knees-up later? Well, no civil stuff yet. Why? Here's the meta-rumor: Their lawyers are haggling, nice-nice, over terms of a pre-nup. That'd be some pre-nup.
