Sideshow: Anthony Riley left 'Voice' for medical reasons

AYK, Philadelphia singer Anthony Riley has left The Voice. On Wednesday, a spokesman told Philly.com that Riley left for undefined "medical reasons." Evan Shingles dismissed talk of a Riley tweet supporting Mumia Abu Jamal, or of friction with fellow contestant Mia Z.

Zayn Malik has left One Direction.  He recently walked away from the group's world tour, citing stress.   Never fear, 1D fans: Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, and Louis Tomlinson will keep touring and will record a new album later this year.

TMZ says Jon Hamm, who plays Don Draper on Mad Men, just finished rehab for alcohol addiction. (Amazing how stuff happens just when a show is ready to restart.) Aided by partner Jennifer Westfeldt, he spent 30 days at Silver Hill Hospital in New Canaan, Conn.

BBC has fired Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson, one of its biggest stars. He had been suspended after punching producer Oisin Tymon. The edgy car show plays to a potential audience of 350 million, and a petition to save the unruly host's job got a million signatures. Didn't work.

       X Files will return for six new episodes (at an unspecified time) on Fox! Yes, David Duchovny is again Fox Mulder, and Gillian Anderson is Dana Scully.
