McCarthy: Normal clothes
Fancy that! A clothing line for women who aren't size zero!
That'd be Spy star Melissa McCarthy's Seven7 line set to launch in August. Available at Lane Bryant and Macy's, plus on HSN and the actor's website, the outfits range from sizes 4 to 28.
"I started this line because I wanted to know: 'Where are the normal clothes?' " McCarthy, 44, tells People. "This really is a selfish venture. I wanted to build a better closet for myself." McCarthy, who has two kids with actor hub Ben Falcone, says the stuff she'll be selling is real. "I've worn every single piece."
Horror at the mansion
Life for a woman at the Playboy Mansion isn't as happy, carefree, empowering, and uplifting as the rest of us believed, says Hugh Hefner's sometime gf Holly Madison.
The model was so miserable being Hugh's numero uno missy, she contemplated suicide, she writes in her memoir, Down the Rabbit Hole: Curious Adventures and Cautionary Tales of a Former Playboy Bunny. "I just couldn't take my misery anymore," she writes. Calling her stay at the mansion a "ridiculous life," Madison opines that Hefner, 89, who had six other gfs, would hardly miss her if she were dead. "No, I was certain I was just another warm body - as we all were," she writes. " 'Just another blonde,' I could hear him say."
And this is a revelation?
Florence is a winner
London indie rock act Florence + the Machine this week scored their first No. 1 album with How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful, which debuted atop the Billboard LP chart, selling 128,000 copies, according to Nielsen Music.
Taylor Swift's 1989 stays put at No. 2, with 66,000, and last week's top seller, A$AP Rocky's At.Long.Last.A$AP was in third place with 50,000.
A Homer personal ad?
Homer Simpson a bachelor?! Doh! The 27th season debut of Fox's The Simpsons, set to premiere Sept. 27, will have Homer and Marge go through a legal separation! Exec producer Al Jean tells Variety that Homer is diagnosed with "narcolepsy and it's an incredible strain on the marriage." What's more, Bart's beer-belly-enhanced dad will develop a thing (what kind of thing?) for his pharmacist, voiced by Girls' Lena Dunham.
