Calvin Harris tops Forbes' list of highest paid DJs

Taylor Swift's DJ BF Calvin Harris has topped the Forbes list of the world's highest paid DJs.
He earned an estimated $66 million for the 12 months ending June 1, 2015.
Harris was followed by French DJ David Guetta ($37 million) and Dutch DJ Tiesto ($36 million). Two Americans, Skrillex and Steve Aoki, tied for fourth with $24 million each.
Speaking to Forbes about the huge growth in dance music, Harris said, "I happened to be in the right place at the right time."
Coincidentally, he said the same thing about dating Swift.
IN ANOTHER example of the world's gone nuts, two men from Iowa made online threats to wreak havoc in Boston at the World Pokemon Championships, police said yesterday.
Kevin Norton, 18, of Ames, and James Stumbo, 27, of Boone, referred in their threats to the Columbine High School massacre and the Boston Marathon bombings (note: they take that very seriously in Boston), and then were stopped at the entrance to the Hynes Convention Center after they drove 25 hours to Boston from Iowa.
The two were ordered held without bail on gun charges yesterday pending a dangerousness hearing scheduled for Sept. 1.
On top of that, they missed the Championships. All that time spent strategizing Pokemon for nought.
Boston police Commissioner William Evans said that the men made their threatening statements in a closed online Pokemon forum and on other social media before driving to Boston. The moderator of the Pokemon forum notified security at the convention center, then Hynes officials notified police, Evans said. The two men were stopped as they entered the convention center Thursday and were detained for questioning.
Police seized their car, but the men were released as police waited for a search warrant, Evans said. Norton and Stumbo were arrested Saturday morning at a hotel in Saugus, just north of Boston.
Officers found a 12-gauge shotgun, an AR-15 rifle, several hundred rounds of ammunition and a hunting knife in their car, police said. They said that neither man was able to produce a gun license.
Does that matter after you've made threats to shoot up a convention?
"Inside, there were a lot of kids, a lot of gamers . . . thank God we were able to cut off whatever these two individuals coming from Iowa were up to," Evans said during a news conference.
Players from more than 30 countries competed at the three-day, invitation-only event for a share of more than $500,000 in scholarship awards.
Boston Police Superintendent Paul Fitzgerald, chief of the Bureau of Intelligence and Analysis, said that authorities do not know what motivated the men.
Normally, we'd say to impress girls, but . . . nah.
