Miley Cyrus admits she's 'messed up'

Miley Cyrus, who recently ticked off the inventor of the foam finger while graphically educating the world about the meaning of "twerk" at the VMA Awards, has admitted to London's Sunday Mirror:

"I have so many f***ing issues. I am so f***ed up – everyone does dumb stuff when they are messed up."

But don't conclude that "her most honest interview ever," as the Mirror puts it, is some kind of  apology.

The interview is apparently from July, even though it's being ballyhooed around the Web as "new."

"I interviewed her as she promoted her hit UK single 'We Can't Stop' five weeks ago," concedes the Mirror's Katie Hind, oh, about 15 paragraphs into the story.

Then, again, these candid quotes, mostly about her intense schedule, do have added meaning now. Here's a sampling:

-- "I don't have a normal life. I take a hiatus every now and again but I'm not good at that."

-- "I've made a record so I have to promote it so I have to work to get it done – and then pass out."

-- "I don't get to work out. I do yoga and 30 push-ups every day and try to get my mind right."

-- "I never pretended I was as good as the Disney Channel writes."

The article points out that days after the VMAs, "a new wave of fears grew for Miley when she was spotted stumbling around Teterboro Airport, in New Jersey ... wearing pyjamas and a pair of fluffy unicorn slippers in public."
