VIDEO ESPN College Game Day welcomes...Katy Perry??

The pop star made some bold (and accurate) predictions

There was excitement enough on Saturday in Oxford, Miss. as ESPN's College Game Day crew made its first visit to the hallowed Grove. The occasion: Ole Miss was taking on the nation's top-ranked tram, Alabama.

Then things got really wild, as state troopers escorted pop superstar Katy Perry through the riotous tailgaters up to the ESPN broadcast dias.

Dressed in a pink plushy-plush football jersey, Katy turned out to be a better handicapper than the show's expert, Lee Corso. She correctly chose Old Miss to upset 'Bama and Mississippi State to beat TCU.

She got up to some mischief as well, making a double entendre about South Carolina's mascot name, the Gamecocks. She flung a whole platter of corn dogs at the camera, one by one, while intimating that they smelled like LSU fans. Hoo-doggie.

Then she confessed to a big crush on Oklahoma quarterback Trevor Knight, even urging him to call her.

How come Brent Musberger gets all kinds of heat for praising the looks of Miss Alabama, Katherine Webb, but Katie is allowed to openly hit on a younger man?

But after win by the Ole Miss, I bet a lot of college campi are hoping Ms Perry will visit them and bring some of that hot pink luck.
