The Pennsylvania Ballet held its black-tie gala, Barcelona on Broad, at the Union League in Philadelphia on Oct. 9.
The Spanish-theme evening celebrated artistic director Angel Corella's heritage and the company premiere of Don Quixote planned for March. A special dance from Spanish tradition by Pennsylvania Ballet dancers was also part of the elegant evening, which included cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, dinner, dancing, and a live auction.
Guests also enjoyed the chance to mingle and chat with company members, and dance to the Renaissance Orchestra, all in celebration of the beginning of a new season of the Pennsylvania Ballet. The event raised $45,500 at a silent auction, and a total of $250,000.
