As if the end of his marriage and a case of writer's block weren't enough, he's approached by a scary stranger (John Turturro) who accuses him of plagiarizing his work. Mort has three days to clear himself - or else. Maria Bello, Charles S. Dutton, Len Cariou and Timothy Hutton also star in this 2004 thriller based on a novella by Stephen King.

Close to Home (9-10 p.m., CBS3) - In the new episode "Fall From Grace," Annabeth (Jennifer Finnigan) seeks to retry dirty cop and accused killer Chris Veeder (Eric Stoltz), even though her first unsuccessful attempt to convict him resulted in death threats. This time around, she has a stronger case, as one of the victims from that trial has turned up dead. Jonathan Silverman, Finnigan's fiance, also guest-stars.
