Simon Cowell: Finally, the yolks on him
It was one of the more surreal moments in recent television history. "Britain's Got Talent," the live finals, Saturday night.

IT WAS ONE of the more surreal moments in recent television history.
"Britain's Got Talent," the live finals, Saturday night.
Two Welsh brothers, Richard and Adam Johnson, were powering through their version of "The Impossible Dream" from "Man of La Mancha," when the curtains opened up to reveal the obligatory choir.
From the choir a woman in black came forward.
And kept coming forward until she was in front of the singing brothers.
Then she reached into a basket and began throwing eggs at judge Simon Cowell.
Bet you never thought of that, Paula Abdul.
The brothers kept singing. Didn't miss a beat.
The woman was quickly hustled off by a stagehand, the brothers got a standing ovation and Simon had to take off his yolk-covered jacket. Thank goodness this was the finals or he may have just been wearing a yolk-covered T-shirt.
At the time of the incident, viewers were abuzz wondering how the woman got past security.
Here's where the crazy story got even crazier.
The egg-thrower, later identified as 30-year-old Natalie Holt, was actually in the show, playing viola for the singing brothers.
And last year she was a contestant on the show, playing as part of the Raven Quartet.
"As a result of her misguided actions, the police were called," a spokeswoman for the show told Reuters. "However, we have decided to take no further action at this stage."
In a statement released by "BGT," Holt apologized to the singing brothers, acknowledging that her stunt "was a silly thing to do."
Her motive, however, came out when she spoke to the London Telegraph: "I basically took a stand against people miming on television and against Simon and his dreadful influence on the music industry."
* In another goofy stage incident, celebuzz.com reports that Ciara was performing at Los Angeles Pride this weekend, when a process server pretended to be a fan and got to the edge of the stage.
When Ciara reached out, she was handed legal documents.
Suing the singer is The Factory, a West Hollywood club where Ciara was allegedly supposed to perform on Friday night. Ciara's people say that they told the club she wouldn't be there. The club either disagrees or doesn't care.
Superman vs. tornado
After the shooting in a Colorado theater, the movie "Gangster Squad" saw its release postponed for months due to a similar scene.
After recent tornados ravaged Oklahoma, "Mike & Molly" preempted its season finale due to a tornado-themed episode.
Superman, however, is going on with the storm.
"Man of Steel" director Zack Snyder said to the Huffington Post that the tornado scene in his movie, opening Friday, will not be cut.
"He's changed by those events," Snyder said of Superman. "If anything, we feel like our Superman has a connection - not to make light of it - to the kind of grief that happens during those kinds of natural disasters. Also, in a sad way, even Superman can't change that."
What? Superman can make the Earth rotate in reverse. He should be able to stop a tornado.
* Who needs Superman when you have John Malkovich?
The oft-creepy actor, performing in Toronto in "The Giacomo Variations," was standing outside a hotel there when 77-year-old Ohioan Jim Walpole tripped, fell and cut his neck open on a scaffold.
Blood gushed everywhere.
"The way he was spurting I thought it was the carotid [artery] or the jugular [vein]," said Jim's wife, Marilyn, who happens to be a retired nurse.
Then, Malkovich appeared, "taking over just like a doctor," she said. The actor, who has played doctors at least twice in his lengthy career, used his scarf to apply pressure to the wound to stop the bleeding, probably saving Jim's life.
Jim was later taken to a hospital, stitched up and released.
TATTBITS
* According to TMZ.com, Justin Bieber's bodyguards are under investigation again for allegedly getting physical with someone trying to snap a picture of the Biebs.
The incident took place at a Hollywood hookah lounge (oh, Bieber, always with the hookahs) and the would-be photographer wasn't a paparazzo, just someone who wanted a picture.
By the time police arrived, the Bieber Bunch was gone.
After three similar incidents in Miami this past week, Bieber security over-reaction is becoming a bit of a trend.
* Philadelphia-based celebrity strategist Dyana Williams will guest on the VH1 reality show "Love and Hip Hop" tonight at 8.
In the episode, she'll coach volatile singer K. Michelle and bring her to tears.
Dyana has also worked with Rihanna, Michael Vick and Justin Bieber.
It may be time for her to work with Bieber's bodyguards.
