iZOMBIE. 9 p.m. Tuesday, CW57.

Rose McIver (below) stars as a young doctor whose survival of a zombie feeding frenzy leaves her with a terrible appetite in this happy surprise of a show, adapted by the producers of "Veronica Mars" from a comic-book series.

ONE BIG HAPPY. 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, NBC10.

Ellen DeGeneres is a producer on this new sitcom starring Elisha Cuthbert ("Happy Endings") as a lesbian whose plan to raise a baby with her straight best friend (Nick Zano) is complicated when he falls in love with someone else. Follows the Season 2 premiere of the still-funny - and not nearly so complicated - "Undateable."

COMMUNITY. Tuesday, Yahoo Screen. New episodes weekly.

There's a sixth season of the NBC-canceled cult comedy, but it's online and probably only for people who've already memorized the first five. Where to find it: Yahoo.com/ community online or on Apple TV, Roku or Yahoo Screen apps for Apple and Android.

EMPIRE. 8 p.m. Wednesday, Fox 29.

Note the early start for the two-hour finale of a season Fox almost certainly wishes had been longer. What will Wednesdays be like without Cookie (Taraji P. Henson)?

WALKING THE NILE. 8 p.m. Wednesday, Animal Planet.

Warning: The first hour of this extraordinary three-hour chronicle of British explorer Levison Wood's attempt to travel the entire length of the Nile includes the death of American journalist Matthew Power. Power, who'd joined Wood last year for a portion of his effort, succumbed to heat stroke in Uganda. It's the worst, but not the first or last, shock of a journey that may be as foolhardy as it is inspiring.

BLOODLINE. Friday, Netflix.

Kyle Chandler ("Friday Night Lights"), Sam Shepard and Sissy Spacek headline a dark family drama from the creators of "Damages" that arrives just in time for a weekend of binge-watching.
