Ellen Gray's weekend TV picks: 'Leftovers,' 'Treehouse of Horror' and more
* THE LEFTOVERS. 9 p.m. Sunday, HBO. Nora (Carrie Coon, pictured with Justin Theroux) wakes during an earthquake in her new home in Miracle, Texas, to find boyfriend Kevin (Theroux) missing. She assumes he's vanished, as her previous family did. The truth will turn out to be more complicated. I'm loving this season so far, but not pretending to fully understand it.

* DA VINCI'S DEMONS. 8 p.m. Saturday, Starz.
Third (and final) season premiere of the sort-of-historical drama starring Tom Riley as a young, and very hot, Leonardo Da Vinci.
* THE SIMPSONS: TREEHOUSE OF HORROR XXVI. 8 p.m.
Sunday, Fox29.
The grisly Halloween tradition continues. Word is Bart's a goner, though that shouldn't last.
* SURVIVOR'S REMORSE.
9:30 p.m. Saturday, Starz.
Has Cam (Jessie T. Usher) found a love he can count on? Maybe we'll know after the Season 2 finale (which follows the Season 1 finale of Patrick Stewart's "Blunt Talk").
* GILMORE GIRLS MARATHON. 10 a.m. Sunday, Up.
You won't have to wait for a "Gilmore Girls" revival on Netflix - reported by TV Line to be in the works - to revisit Stars Hollow. Up, which has rights to all 153 episodes, plans a daylong marathon, complete with pop-up trivia.
* STARTALK. 11 p.m. Sunday, National Geographic.
Former president Bill Clinton guests in the Season 2 premiere of the Neil deGrasse Tyson-hosted series focusing on science and pop culture.
