Diana Gabaldon expresses Herself about the 'Outlander' finale
"Outlander" author Diana Gabaldon had One Big Problem with the Season 2 Finale episode, and here it is.

"Outlander" author Diana Gabaldon likes words. And she spares none in this Facebook post on her True Feelings About a Key Detail of Claire and Jamie Fraser's Last Moments Together before Claire goes through the stones at Craigh na Dun that was, um, cut from the TV version of the Starz series Season 2 finale, "Dragonfly in Amber."
Here's a sampling: "I won't recount the entirety of my comments to Ron [Moore, show runner] and Maril [Davis, executive producer] in the wake of this conversation, but I recall saying, " . . . there's a massive emotional distance between, 'I love you so passionately that I want you to shed my blood and scar me forever so I can remember your touch,' and 'Here, darling, take the ugliest wedding present ever to remember me by for the forty-five minutes before you die.'
You'd have to have seen the show and read the book to understand exactly what she means here, but the Facebook post includes the relevant "Dragonfly" passages.
Show runner Ron D. Moore defended his choices at tvline.com.
