South Jersey woman in final 4 of ABC’s ‘Quest’

Delran's Lina Carollo is the last woman standing on ABC's The Quest, in which real-world contestants, wearing medieval garb, compete to become "the one true hero" in a fantasy world called Everealm.
Think of the show as a cross between Survivor and a Renaissance fair – with ogres, a dragon, witchcraft, swordplay, treachery, and a horned demonic enemy named Verlox (shown below).
Two episodes aired Thursday night, and Carollo, a school counselor, was at risk of elimination at the end of each, first after falling short in a spying challenge, and then, well, after her dragon egg slipped and fell.
Each time, though, she was selected to continue by the remaining "paladins," as the contestants are called.
That meant banishment for Letitia Reyes and Bonnie Gordon, making Carollo one of the final four, along with Patrick Higgins, Shondo Blades and Andrew Frazer (as seen from left in photo below):
"I couldn't believe it. ... I'm like still in shock," Carollo said in on-air asides. "... I thought I was gone."
The situation wound up seeming familiar, she said.
"I have three older brothers, and it's funny now putting this all into perspective and thinking that I am the last female left, and there's three bigger, stronger guys that I'm going up against, but you know what, I have to prove myself. I know that."
The show began on July 31 with five men and seven women, including Jasmine Kyle, a Media mom whose luck ran out at the end of the fourth episode.

The winner, prophesied to defeat Verlox, will be revealed next Thursday, Sept. 11, as The Quest again airs twice, at 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. locally on 6ABC.
Believe it or not, no money is at stake, just the "honor" of being "the one true hero."
