Couric tells USA Today she's worked hard to keep her girls out of the media. Until now. All three women pose in the latest "Got Milk?" ad, which premieres Friday on Couric's gabfest, Katie. "I'm really proud of them. I think they've turned into exemplary young women."

Couric, who struggled with bulimia in college, says the milk ads stress "healthy eating and healthy body image." Not an easy lesson, she admits: "There's so much external pressure to have a certain body type." Speaking of health, will Couric ever show us her stuff on Dancing With The Stars? She's been asked, but has been too busy.

David Bowie, 66, has drawn fire over the music vid for the title track of his first album in 10 years, The Next Day.

It shows the Thin White Duke as a Christlike rock singer in a decadent lounge full of sinning clerics. Gary Oldman plays one such corrupt priest, while Oscar-winner Marion Cotillard is a dancing girl afflicted with stigmata. Calling Bowie a "switch hitting, bisexual senior citizen from London," the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights says "the video is strewn with characteristic excess," and "Bowie is nothing if not confused about religion."

Jennifer Lopez on Wednesday gave the human race a listen at the first single off her forthcoming 10th album during a visit to Elvis Duran's syndicated morning show. Called "Live It Up," it features Pitbull. "You grow up listening to radio and you hear songs and it's just one of those magical things," J-Lo said about the tradition of using radio to preview new music. J-Lo says she'll put out a few more songs and wait for feedback before releasing the LP.

Weight is an issue that obsesses so many female stars, reveals Alison Sweeney of The Biggest Loser and Days of our Lives fame. She'd know: "At one point while I was on Days I was a size 12, which by Hollywood standards was overweight," she tells Ladies Home Journal. "Some of the casting directors made it clear that a lot of roles didn't come my way because of my weight." Things are getting better. "Being overly skinny is out of style," says Alison, 36. "People are much more attracted to Jennifer Lawrence, who's thin but healthy. She can kick anyone's butt any day of the week."

The 15th annual Young Hollywood Awards will air live - red carpet and all - Aug. 1 on the CW Network. . . . Puddle of Mudd's Wes Scantlin was pulled over for speeding in Hollywood Tuesday night, says TMZ, and taken into custody because there were two warrants out for his arrest - for cocaine possession and driving on a suspended license. . . . Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane will voice a swinger dude on the May 18 season finale of pal Matt Groening's The Simpsons. . . . Hollywood legend Robert Redford will exec-produce a reality show for CNN called Chicagoland that'll look at politics in the Midwestern city. . . . Tim Lambesis, 32, singer of metal act As I Lay Dying, was arrested in Southern California Tuesday for allegedly trying to hire a hit man to kill his estranged wife, Meggan. . . . The song "Miss America," which contains the famous line, "There she is, Miss America," has been cut from the Sept. 15 show because of an unspecified legal dispute.

If the music thing doesn't work out for Josh Groban - I mean, he's only sold 21 million records in America to date - he always has local TV news.

Groban, 32, on Wednesday told Fox29's (WTXF-TV) Good Day Philadelphia anchors Sheinelle Jones and Mike Jerrick that his real dream is to anchor a news show. "It's always been a dream of mine to anchor a news show. I'm feeling like there's a little bit of a 'tradesies' that could happen here," he said. "You guys are kind of, legendarily awesome," he then told the coanchors.

Country god Kenny Chesney has scored his seventh No. 1 album on the Billboard album chart with Life on a Rock, which debuted this week atop the list, selling 153,000 copies according to Nielsen SoundScan. Michael Bublé's To Be Loved falls a rung this week to No. 2 with 96,000, while Justin Timberlake's The 20/20 Experience sells 68,000 more copies to hold onto third place.
