Exercising while sick: What are the guidelines?

We've all been there. Just as you're starting to get back into your normal exercise routine, that annoying, sniffling, runny nose starts and forces you to trade in that protein shake for some chicken noodle soup.
Or does it?

As long as your problems are above your neck, with the exception of a fever, it's relatively OK to exercise, but your expectations need to be held in check. When you do start to feel better make sure you ease back into your routine.
