Phila. area’s home prices up 1%; U.S. sees decline

Its Conventional Mortgage Home Price Index covers homes purchased with conventional mortgages. In the Middle Atlantic region, however, prices rose 1 percent.
On Tuesday, a home price index produced by the Federal Housing Finance Agency, and calculated with information from Fannie Mae- and Freddie Mac-acquired mortgages, showed a 3.1 percent decline over the last four quarters. - Alan J. Heavens
