Cops: Pair pimped underage Pa. girls

Two South Jersey pimps posted photos of "Lushes" and "Vanilla Treat" in full frontal nudity on craigslist on the Internet, advertising rates of up to $200 an hour.

Two South Jersey pimps posted photos of "Lushes" and "Vanilla Treat" in full frontal nudity on craigslist on the Internet, advertising rates of up to $200 an hour.

The problem was, "Lushes" was only 14, and her sister, "Vanilla Treat," 16.

The web posting described Lushes as "like[s] to fulfill fantasys [sic]" and invited viewers "to cum and try these goodies" of Vanilla Treat in Atlantic City.

Not only that, but the pimps allegedly drove the minors across state lines - from Allentown, Pa. to Atlantic City, N.J. - to turn them into prostitutes, according to a joint FBI and N.J. State Police investigation.

Talk about a mother's worst nightmare.

As soon as craigslist was told of the porn, officials removed it from the Web site, said Assistant U.S. Attorney Jason Richardson, in Camden. They routinely police their site.

Yesterday, one of the reputed pimps, Kevin R. Mayfield, 27, of Pleasantville, N.J., appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Ann Marie Donio in Camden.

She held him without bail pending trial, saying he posed a danger to the community.

Mayfield, who used the alias "B," and Casson L. Coward, 24, who went by the name "L.K.," also of Pleasantville, are charged in separate complaints with one count of conspiracy to transport minors in interstate commerce with the intent the minors engage in prostitution.

Coward's hearing is tomorrow in federal court in Camden.

On July 7, a state police trooper discovered the porn site and an undercover trooper arranged a "date" with "Lushes" the same day at a motel in Galloway Township, N.J. She offered to have sex in exchange for money.

Taken into custody, Lushes admitted she was "A.B.," 14 years old and worked as a prostitute for "L.K." whom she had met three weeks earlier in Allentown, with her 16-year-old sister, J.B., known on the web as "Vanilla Treat."

At the Allentown motel on June 5, Coward introduced the girls to "B."

The next day, Coward later admitted, he drove the 14-year-old to an Atlantic City-area motel in his gold Cadillac, while Mayfield drove her sister to motels in Egg Harbor Township and Absecon, N.J., in his black Mercedes SUV.

Both reputed pimps advised the girls how to be prostitutes and took nude photos of them, which they posted on the Internet.

They also offered safety tips for the "turnouts," or new prostitutes.

Mayfield told the 16-year-old how much to charge for oral and vaginal sex and promised that he would obtain phony identification documents for her, an FBI affidavit said.

Prostitutes under 18 were usually sent on "out calls" to hotels or customers' residences for a fee of $100 for a half-hour, or $150 for an hour, according to the affidavit.

So-called "in calls" were at outside locations for up to $200 per hour.

Before her apprehension, the 14-year-old performed sex acts with customers and turned the money over to Coward.

But her sister eventually balked and asked Mayfield to take her home.

Mayfield drove her as far as Philadelphia and told her she'd have to earn her bus fare home, according to the affidavit.

Instead, she called her father at 3 a.m. on June 8, three days after she had left Allentown.

He picked his daughter up. She was then interviewed by the FBI, who later confirmed that Mayfield and Coward had stayed at the Scottish Inn, in Allentown, on May 24, where the sisters said they met them.

The FBI also confirmed that Mayfield stayed at the inn on July 5 when he picked up the 16-year-old and drove her to South Jersey.

Later, on the morning of June 8, Coward was arrested at his parents' home in Pleasantville, hiding in a bedroom closet.

He admitted his role in the case, and that he was a pimp.

Mayfield surrendered on June 14.

The FBI later adopted both cases, as the defendants would face stiffer penalties.

If convicted of federal charges, they face a mandatory minimum prison term of 10 years and a maximum of life in prison. *
