A man and a woman accused of stealing a jar filled with donations for the family of Philadelphia Police Officer Chuck Cassidy were nabbed by police yesterday.

Police arrested Robert Labar, 33, and Linda Reed, 24, both of Mercer Street near Lefevre, in Bridesburg.

Police said Labar and Reed entered a Wawa on Tyson Avenue near Roosevelt Boulevard shortly before 4 a.m. Saturday and milled around for up to two hours.

Cops said Labar cut the string that tied the donation jug to the counter and then snatched the jug before fleeing with Reed.

Both Labar and Reed were charged with theft, receiving stolen property, and related offenses.

A day earlier, another donation jar was stolen from the West Oak Lane Dunkin' Donuts where Officer Cassidy was killed.

The suspect in that theft is still on the loose.
