Woman charged in fatal stabbing

Police yesterday arrested a 32-year-old woman and charged her with stabbing a man to death in Kensington. Police said that Nicole Mattis stabbed Ereiron Green, 30, in the chest shortly before 3 a.m. Wednesday, in an apparent domestic dispute outside of a house on Frankford Avenue near Cambria Street.

Police said that Nicole Mattis stabbed Ereiron Green, 30, in the chest shortly before 3 a.m. Wednesday, in an apparent domestic dispute outside of a house on Frankford Avenue near Cambria Street.

Police transported Green to Temple University Hospital, where he died shortly afterwards.

Mattis, who lives on Orleans Street near Emerald, is charged with homicide and possession of an instrument of crime, police said.

Green lived on Clementine Street near Clearfield, a few blocks north of Mattis' home.

Police also released the name of another homicide victim yesterday.

Shortly after 6 p.m. on Wednesday, police responded to a call at 4th and Norris streets, North Philadelphia, about a person with a gun.

When they arrived at the scene, they found Kahil Martinez, 32, with multiple gunshot wounds to his body.

Martinez was taken to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 6:38 p.m.

As of yesterday, police had made no arrest nor suggested any motives for the homicide.
