After a five-day break, testimony resumed yesterday in the trial of two men accused of murdering Philadelphia police Sgt. Stephen Liczbinski in May 2008.

The Common Pleas jury heard from an FBI agent and from the uncle of gunman Howard Cain.

Cain, 34, fatally shot Liczbinski after he, Eric Deshann Floyd and Levon T. Warner robbed a Port Richmond bank. Police killed Cain that day.

The jury was also shown multiple camera angles of the three robbers inside the ShopRite where the Bank of America is housed.

Claiming his client was a Hebrew Israeli, Floyd's attorney, Earl Kauffman, filed a motion saying that the court didn't have jurisdiction over Floyd because of his religion. Judge Renee Cardwell Hughes denied the motion, and the trial will proceed.

Floyd, 35, and Warner, 41, face the possibility of being sentenced to death if convicted of first-degree murder.

Witnesses to Liczbinski's slaying at Schiller and Almond streets will testify today. The trial is expected to last between four and six weeks.
