The FBI and Philadelphia police are looking for the man with a scruffy beard and mustache who held up the Citizens Bank branch at 8th and Walnut streets yesterday.

Authorities said the man entered the bank shortly after 3:30 p.m. and presented a demand note to a teller. He fled with an undisclosed sum of cash. He is described as white, of medium height and build wearing a brown hooded sweatshirt over a dark T-shirt.

Tipsters: call the FBI at 215-418-4000, or 9-1-1.

Assault victim found bound

A partially clothed, 42-year-old woman who had been sexually assaulted was found bound in duct tape in a stolen car on Hancock Street near Huntingdon in West Kensington, police said. She was listed in stable condition at Episcopal Hospital, police said.

Cops: Rape victim stabbed

A 41-year-old woman who was raped in Port Richmond Tuesday night was treated for superficial stab wounds and other injuries, police said.

The woman was approached about 9:30 p.m. by an unidentified man who produced a small penknife, forced her to an abandoned lot on Tulip Street near Moreland, sexually assaulted her and stabbed her, police said.

18-year-old slain in NE

A shooting in Northeast Philadelphia Tuesday night killed an 18-year-old man, police said. The victim was shot multiple times on Rupert Street near St. Vincent shortly before 11 p.m. He was pronounced dead at Aria Health's Torresdale hospital.

House OKs natural-gas tax

The state House yesterday approved a bill that would impose the state's first tax on natural-gas extraction. The 104-94 vote was a major step toward collecting revenue from the drilling boom in a wide swath of the state that overlays the Marcellus Shale gas formation.
