1MAN SHOT IN ROBBERY
A man was shot and wounded last night in West Philadelphia during a robbery, police said. After a woman involved in an investment club went to the club director's house on 54th Street near Springfield Avenue to pick up money about 6 p.m., two unidentified men approached the woman and her brother and demanded money, police said. Both victims tried to run and the man was shot and the suspects fled with about $16,000.
The victim was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he was listed in stable condition, cops said.
2MAN KILLED IN W. PHILLY
A 30-year-old was shot and killed in West Philadelphia shortly before 9 last night. Police were called to Millick and Arch streets where they found the victim with a head wound . He was pronounced dead at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
3COPS HUNT MAN'S KILLER
Police are looking for the killer in the shooting of a man early yesterday in Southwest Philadelphia. The man was shot multiple times in the head and body just before 1 a.m. on Mario Lanza Boulevard near Crane Street, police said. Paramedics declared him dead at the scene at 1:04 a.m. The motive remains unknown. Tipsters are urged to call Homicide detectives at 215-686-3334.
4BIG DELCO DIESEL THEFT
Two men have been arrested for allegedly stealing more than $26,000 in diesel fuel from Nardello Fuels, in Essington, Delaware County, District Attorney G. Michael Green announced yesterday. Charles Scott, 47, of Philadelphia, and Aubrey Fennell, 50, of Elkins Park, have been charged with theft and related offenses.
