Boy hurt in house fire

A 12-year-boy pulled from a burning house in North Philadelphia was transported to a hospital with no reported vital signs Monday night, fire officials said.

A 12-year-boy pulled from a burning house in North Philadelphia was transported to a hospital with no reported vital signs Monday night, fire officials said.

Firefighters responded shortly after 10 p.m. to the 1800 block of North 27th Street to a two-story residence with smoke showing, officials said. The boy was pulled from the house and transported by a medic unit to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

The fire was placed under control about 15 minutes later. The medical unit en route to the hospital reported that the boy was showing no vital signs. No further information was immediately available.
