A family of four was ambushed yesterday morning by three robbers who left the family tied up in the basement of their house, police said.

As the homeowner was leaving for work about 10:15 a.m., he was confronted at gunpoint by three men wearing masks who had been in a black work van, according to police.

They forced the man back in to his house on, where they tied up him and three members of the family, police said. None of the residents were injured and police are investigating what, if anything, was taken from the house.

A North Philadelphia woman stabbed her boyfriend to death in her own house early yesterday, police said.

Nelda Beatty stabbed her boyfriend, Atlas Pinson, 48, once in the chest about 2:10 a.m., police said.

Pinson, of Stockton Road near Price Street, was pronounced dead at 2:25 a.m. Beatty, 46, was arrested and charged with murder and related offenses, according to police.

The motive for the slaying was a domestic argument, police said.

Woman stabs, kills beau

A woman who stabbed her boyfriend once in the neck yesterday morning in Frankford is now facing murder charges, police said.

About 5:50 a.m., police responded to the house, where they were met by Marchell Pickney, 27, who lived there, according to police. There, police found Brandt Lollie, 32, with a single stab wound to the neck. He was pronounced dead at 6:05 a.m. Pickney was charged with his murder and related offenses.

Police said the motive for the slaying was a domestic argument.

Body wrapped in plastic ID'd
* Central Avenue near 2nd Street, Chester

The body police found wrapped in plastic in an overgrown lot in Chester Friday has been identified.

Police were called to the lot about 1:20 p.m. Friday. The victim, who suffered multiple gunshot, was later identified as Eddie Lockhart, 39, of Newark, Del., Lockhart owns a barbershop in Wilmington.

Authorities have not released any leads or disclosed any motives.

Shot in head, teen is barely alive

An 18-year-old is clinging to life after he was shot in the head during a robbery in Logan Saturday night, police said.

The victim was sitting on the steps with four friends, ages 18 to 21, when they were approached by two men, one of whom had a handgun, police said. The robbers stole cellphones, cash and a lighter from the five before a third man, who was serving as a lookout, called for his conspirators to leave, according to police.

As the robbers fled, the man with the gun turned and fired two to three times, hitting the victim in the head, police said.

He was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center, where he remained yesterday in critical condition.
