March 2001: Four words: Storm of the Century. Bolaris and NBC10 hyped a once-in-a-lifetime snowstorm that never arrived, earning him years of infamy.
November 2002: Bolaris leaves NBC10 for New York's WCBS-TV.
May 2003: Bolaris reportedly is thrown over a table at the Denim Lounge, in Center City, by another patron after a confrontation over the weatherman's then-girlfriend, Tiffany McElroy.
January 2008: Bolaris returns to Philly as Fox 29's chief meteorologist.
May 2009: He helps to create the "Badges of Honor 5K Run" to benefit families of fallen police officers and firefighters.
September 2009: A jealous guy at a bar in Avalon, N.J., slugs Bolaris, knocking him to the ground after seeing the weather guy chat up a girl the brawler had been eyeing.
March 2010: Bolaris is drugged - twice - in Miami Beach by two women who are part of a massive Russian wire-fraud scheme. The women ring up more than $43,000 worth of purchases on his credit card. The FBI later busts the ring, with the help of his testimony.
December 2011: Fox 29 suspends Bolaris.
Yesterday: Fox 29 and the meteorologist go their separate ways.
