POLICE on Wednesday night hauled nearly 80 marijuana plants out of an old factory building in Frankford in a bust of drugs they valued at more than $1.5 million.
They said the entire third floor of the building, set back off the street down a gritty driveway on Unity Street near Penn, housed the grow operation.
The Narcotics Field Unit seized 77 hydroponic marijuana plants with a street value about $1,400 per quarter-pound and a few hundred pills, police sources said.
Three men and a woman were arrested. They were awaiting charges late Wednesday.
