Miley not all aTwitter over no-wed rumors

WE'RE NOT SURE that Miley Cyrus' leaving Twitter - again - is going to up the number of followers for @DNTattle, but after fiance Liam Hemsworth was reportedly caught locking lips with January Jones at a pre-Oscars party and Us Weekly claimed that Liam and Miley's "Wedding Is Off," Miley's taking another break from social media.

"I am so sick of LA and sick of the lies that come with it," she tweeted. "I didn't call off my wedding. Taking a break from social media. #draining."

Although Miley has been denying that the nuptials are no more, "Liam and Miley are done," a source told Us. "Miley put her career on hold to spend all her time with Liam."

She even came to Philadelphia while Liam was filming here.

According to mtv.com, which took the time to read Star magazine, January got her twist of Liam at the Chateau Marmont hotel last month. An unnamed eyewitness reportedly told the mag that Liam, 23, and cougar Jones, 35, had "hot chemistry" and the two "were all over each other - and they even kissed."

The pair has been dating for three years and got engaged in June. We'll see if they can make it to the altar.

Valerie Harper, who played Mary Richards' nosy neighbor Rhoda Morgenstern on "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" and later on her own spinoff, "Rhoda," has been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer.

People magazine reported on its website Wednesday that the 73-year-old four-time Emmy winner received the news Jan. 15. Tests revealed that she has a rare condition. Doctors have said she has as little as three months to live.

"I don't think of dying," she told People for its cover story. "I think of being here now."

In January, Harper published a new memoir, I, Rhoda.

* An L.A. judge has ordered

John Hobbs of New Hampshire to refrain from posting anything online about Alyson Hannigan or to try to meet the actress. Superior Court Judge Carol Boas Goodson issued a three-year restraining order against Hobbs after a brief hearing Wednesday.

Hannigan stated in court filings last month that Hobbs has posted a barrage of threatening messages about her and her family online. The filings state that Hobbs, 43, acknowledged to police that he wanted to meet the star of "How I Met Your Mother" and "American Pie."

* Amazon.com Inc. is continuing

its push into producing original children's series, ordering its sixth pilot of shows aimed at kids.

The online retailer announced Wednesday that it will make a test pilot for "Sara Solves It," an animated math-focused mystery developed by WGBH and Out of the Blue Enterprises. The show is the sixth pilot geared for kids by Amazon Studios, the retailer's original movie- and series-production arm.

Launched in 2010, Amazon Studios is moving toward presenting its pilots on its Prime

Instant Video service. Amazon says that it will choose which series to greenlight for a full season based on viewer reaction. The pilots are expected to be posted this spring.

* Organizers say that the

number of orders by shops that will give out free comics for the annual Free Comic Book Day event has topped more than 4.6 million this year, a record.

Diamond Distributors said Wednesday that orders have come from nearly 2,000 retailers across the country for the May 4 event, which is hosted by independent comic-book shops and specialty stores in 46 countries.

Who knew there were still 2,000 places that sold comic books?

Director No. The man behind "Skyfall" says he won't be helming the next James Bond film.

Mendes says he has made the "very difficult decision" to work on other projects "that need my complete focus over the next year and beyond." They include London stage productions of "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and "King Lear."

In comments published Wednesday by movie magazine Empire, Mendes said he was honored to be part of the Bond family, "and very much hope I have a chance to work with them again."

Maybe Quentin Tarantino should take a shot with "Djames Unbound."

Lucas wants to build a museum in San Francisco's Presidio dedicated to visual storytelling. It would house his collection of 150 years of populist art, which includes illustrations by Norman Rockwell and Maxfield Parrish, comics and digital technology.

Lucas, 69, said he doesn't have enough wall space at his 6,000-acre Skywalker Ranch in Marin County, so he wants to invest up to $300 million of his own money to build the museum.
