St. Jude's robbed, cashier bound in Northeast Phila.

A religious goods store in Northeast Philadelphia was held up yesterday by two men who tied-up the store's 62-year-old cashier.

The bandits entered the St. Jude Religious Store on Cottman Avenue about 5 p.m. just as another employee had left to take a short break. The men approached the cash register, tied up the woman cashier with plastic bags, and fled with $478, police said.

The suspects are described as white and between 16 and 20-years-old. One stood about 5-foot-10, with a thin build and was wearing a black Phillies hat and a black scarf. The other suspect was about 5-foot-9, also thin, and was wearing a brown jacket and a brown hat, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Philadelphia Police at 215-686-TIPS.
