Man shot, hospitalized in South Philadelphia

A man was hospitalized after he was shot in the side in South Philadelphia early Tuesday morning.

Police said the man was shot about midnight on 8th Street near McKean. He was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania

Officials were on the scene investigating the shooting just before 1 a.m. and there was no information available yet on possible shooter.
