Masked bandits invade West Philadelphia home

Police are searching for three armed, masked men who broke into a West Philadelphia residence overnight and ransacked it while the occupants were still inside.

The incident on the 200 block of South 50th Street in the Walnut Hill occurred about 5:18 a.m., according to Southwest Detectives.

The three black male suspects were all wearing masks, dark clothing and boots.  At least one was armed. The trio tied up 4 occupants and placed the victims in a closet. Then, the suspects went on to steal cash, household items, sneakers and a computer.

They stole a gray, 2010 Nissan Altima and used it to flee.

Police have no detailed description of the suspects and the incident is still under investigation.
