NY Post: Ex-Penn PhD student, S&M mistress in fatal love triangle

A former University of Pennsylvania engineering doctoral candidate who allegedly doubles as an S&M mistress in New York City was at the middle of a fatal love triangle, the New York Post reports today.

As The Inquirer reported earlier this week, the victim of a West Chester man's apparent murderous jealousy on Monday was a Manhattan lawyer. Police said Anthony Ottaviano, 35, was shot by David P. Krieg, 42, of West Chester, around midnight.

Krieg, who later killed himself, was waiting in Philadelphia when Ottaviano returned from dinner with his girlfriend, who lived in an apartment complex in the 1200 block of Brandywine Street, police said.

But today's Post goes quite a bit deeper on the connection between Ottaviano and Edythe Maa, who the Post says used the stage name Jade Vixen:

The Post said: "Ottaviano and Maa partied together at New York City fetish parties... (Maa has) a bachelor's in chemistry (and) loves posing in clothes, and has a 5-foot-4 frame with incredible 32D-22-32 measurements."

"Her clients include men, women and transgender folk," according to a Web site the Post says she maintained.

UPDATE: Inquirer staff writer Sam Wood adds:

The body of Ottaviano, of the 100 block of E. 31st St. NYC, was found Monday morning in Philadelphia in a parking lot with a gunshot wound to his chest in the 1200 block of Brandywine Street in Center City.

Medics responded and pronounced him dead at 4:52 a.m.

Police consider the case cleared.
