Dr. Joshua Perper, the medical examiner for Broward County, Fla., performed the autopsy of the Playboy model and actress after her Feb. 8 death.
Perper's an old friend of Merion's Dr. Walter I. Hofman, the forensic pathologist who is running as a Democrat for Montgomery County coroner in November.
Dr. Perper will take questions after his speech at the Merion Scout House (625 Hazelhurt) fundraiser, which runs from 4 to 6 p.m. Sept. 16. Tix for the event are $100-$200. For reservations, call Bonnie Squires 610-649- 0998, or bonnie.squires@ verizon.net.
Media moves
Say goodbye to Sasha Issenberg. The former Philadelphia magazine writer and author of "The Sushi Economy," has accepted a job with the Boston Globe.
Issenberg will work out of the Globe's Washington bureau covering national politics. He starts there in a week or two.

sica Pressler is off to New York magazine to write for its Web site. She and fiance Benjamin Wallace are moving to Brooklyn, and depart next week.
Pressler, a former Philadelphia Weekly columnist, will still write a couple of Philly mag pieces. Wallace, a longtime Philly mag staffer, meanwhile, is hard at work on his first book, "The Billionaire's Vinegar: The Mystery of the World's Most Expensive Bottle of Wine," due out next May.
Goodell gets a gift basket
NFL Films President Steve Sabol arranged to have a basket of Jersey corn and tomatoes from Johnson's Corner Farm (133 Church) in Medford put together for a visit last week from NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. The farm assembled a basket of corn and tomatoes, threw in some apple-cider doughnuts, and did not charge the NFL Films staffer who picked up the special order.
Long weekend in Atlantic City
Entourage star Adrian Grenier and his band, The Honey Brothers, played The Pool at Harrah's in Atlantic City Sunday night as ?uestlove from the Roots handled the DJ duties.
* Meanwhile Kim Kardashian
and her famous booty hosted a party at Providence nightclub in The Quarter at Tropicana as DJ Boogie kept the crowd dancing.
* And local DJ Adam Bomb, a
member of the Skratch Makaniks, is now resident DJ at the Borgata's "mur.mur Mondays" party.
Hamilton's hoping to win
Former Y100 DJ Bret Hamilton is among five finalists in HBO/AOL's talent search for the Web-based "The Smart Show."
The winner earns $20,000 and a trip from Boston to Los Angeles reporting man-on-the-street type footage from a handful of cities in between. Vote online: iw.rtm.com/thesmartshow.
Hamilton's an in-arena host for the Flyers and formerly contributed features segments for NBC-10's "10" show.
Local girl goes 'Fashionista'
Wayne-raised Laurie Hugill has joined the cast of SoapNet's "The Fashionista Diaries," and will be seen on tomorrow's 9 p.m. episode. Hugill, 22, a graduate of Agnes Irwin, hopes for a job in editorial or PR at a women's magazine. She's working at New York's Seventh House PR on the reality show on which Neshaminy High/Philadelphia University grad Andrew Kanakis is a cast member. *
