LONGTIME Q102 personality

Diego Ramos

, who was recently part of the

and the Morning show, was fired after yesterday morning's broadcast.

Ramos was one of hundreds of Clear Channel Radio staffers who lost their jobs yesterday in a round of budget cuts. "It's the business," Ramos said moments later. "I'm happy to have worked at one radio station for 18 years."

A Clear Channel rep did not return our inquiry about the decision to eliminate Ramos.

Rydell bride shares name of big fan

"I thought he was dead," says Linda Hoffman Rydell about the time in 1983 when she first started getting phone calls from Bobby Rydell fans. Hoffman, who married the South Philly-born crooner Saturday in Las Vegas, had been confused with another Linda Hoffman who has run Rydell's fan club for years.

Hoffman the bride lived in Ambler, while Hoffman the fan club president lived in Dresher, so frequently when people called information to get a number for the latter they ended up phoning the former.

While all that was going on, Rydell was married to Camille, his wife of many years who died of cancer in 2003.

The new Mrs. Rydell, 55, works as a cardiogram technician and treated Rydell's late mother Jennie, who died two weeks ago, eight years before she met her future spouse.

She and Linda Ferrino Hoffman became friendly in the late 1990s when a mutual friend put them in touch and the medical technician told the fan club president about the misguided phone calls.

Years later when a mutual friend of Hoffman and Rydell's tried to fix them up, Rydell, 66, thought he was speaking about his longtime friend and fan club president, long married herself.

Their first date was in October 2007 at South Philly's Tre Scalini. "Friends say it's meant to be," says the new Mrs. Rydell, who says she and Bobby will honeymoon in a few months, but that his concert schedule will keep them from a long vacation.

Linda Ferrino Hoffman was a guest at the weekend wedding which Rydell's pal Frankie Avalon and wife Kay and three of their children also attended.

Starr shows up on 'Top Chef'

Stephen Starr serves as a guest judge on Bravo's "Top Chef," which airs at 10 tonight.

The restaurateur, dressed in his trademark black suit with a black T-shirt, will help pick a winner and loser in the show's "Restaurant Wars" feature in which the competing chefs create a concept, menu and design of a restaurant in minimal time. In a commercial for the episode, Starr can be seen coughing and looking disgusted after tasting a dish.

'Citizen' shooting at City Hall

Crew members from "Law Abiding Citizen" yesterday were tricking out a City Hall Cabinet room near Mayor Nutter's office on the 2nd floor to prepare for a shoot that's expected there today. Jamie Foxx, who was in Washington yesterday for the inauguration of President Obama, will be part of the City Hall filming. He plays an assistant district attorney in the thriller directed by F. Gary Gray. Foxx's co-star Gerard Butler, who must be studlier than we thought based on the amount of e-mail we've gotten from local women who want to know his whereabouts, is not part of today's City Hall shooting.
