The 19th annual Radnor Hunt Concours d'Elegance Car Show drove in a showstopping collection Sept. 13 for area car enthusiasts. Since its debut in 1997, the invitation-only event has brought together 100 marquee vehicles each year.
The 4,200 attendees at the show, held on the grounds of the Radnor Hunt, were treated to this year's featured classes - Packard, Alfa Romeo, and Classic Pickup Trucks. Other categories included BMW Motorcycles, Police Motorcycles and Land Speed Record Holder Motorcycles.
The parade of vehicles included vintage horse-drawn carriages, which processed from the Devon Horse Show grounds to Radnor Hunt. This year's Spirit of Radnor award went to Gordon Barrett for his 1932 Alfa Romeo 8C 2300.
Proceeds from the event benefit the Thorncroft Equestrian Center in Malvern, whose programs teach horseback-riding to handicapped and nonhandicapped riders and promote the development of independent therapeutic riding for individuals with special needs.
