SPRUCE STREET HARBOR PARK

The long: You weren't one of the 750,000 who stopped by this psychedelic, LED-lit, half-floating, free Penn's Landing pop-up last summer? What were you waiting for? An early opening?

The short: How's this Friday?

The demo: Philadelphians. Nearly all a' dem.

The games: Shipping-container arcades have Skee-Ball, air hockey, claw cranes, and racing games; grounds have bocce, ping-pong, shuffleboard . . .

Come hungry: "Top Chef" Kevin Sbraga is serving brisket, pulled pork, hot fish sandwiches (The Little Fat Ham); "Iron Chef" Jose Garces has burgers, dogs, tacos, fries; Chickie's & Pete's: crabby crinkle cuts and cheesesteaks; Franklin Fountain: ice cream; Daniel Rivera: funnel cakes, soft serve. Not to mention beer.

Oh, yeah, kids: Weekdays are best, the earlier the better.

Moment to yourself: Before entering a hammock, confirm no one's in there working on a family of their own.

This weekend: Art Star's crafty, Mother's Day-coinciding Bazaar at the Great Plaza, 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

The splurge: For $200-$250, you and 19 pals can rent a new, VIP-style "hammock lounge" for a coupla hours.

Getting there: Parking lots at Walnut and Market, $17-$20. SEPTA routes 21, 25, 33 or 42.

Basics: S. Columbus Boulevard and Spruce Street, 11 a.m.-1 a.m. Friday-Saturday, 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Monday-Thursday through Sept. 25, free, 215-922-2FUN, delawareriverwaterfront.com.
