Monday's Child: Sierra, 13, sings in her school choir

Sierra describes herself as affectionate, brave, relaxed, and intelligent. The 13-year-old is passionate about singing and envisions a career as a professional singer. Although she enjoys crafts and spending time with her friends, she finds the most pleasure in singing in her school choir.

A perfect day for Sierra would include sleeping in, eating her favorite foods, and going to the mall. She loves Christmas because of the joyous activities of the holiday season.

Sierra is very proud of her Lifebook - an ongoing record of her life that she created. It includes photos, souvenirs, documents, and other items as well as her comments.

Sierra has experienced much trauma in her young life. She dreams of having a loving, affectionate family that is patient and kind, and she looks forward to sharing her Lifebook with them. Hopefully, there would be pets in the home and children her age in the neighborhood.

Her social worker says Sierra is a sweetheart who would bring great joy to the family that welcomes her into their home.

Sierra is very close to her sister Savannah, 12, and they would love to be adopted together. (Savannah will be profiled next week.)
