Microchip your dog for free

at clinic Saturday morning

MEDIA A dog license and microchip clinic is scheduled for Saturday at the Maintenance Building behind the Hunt Club at Rose Tree Park on Route 252. It runs from 9 a.m. to noon, rain or shine.

Dogs must be on a leash at all times, and the microchips are free and will be available while the supply lasts.

All dogs must have a state license.

"A dog with a microchip is eligible for a lifetime license for a fee of $31.50, if the dog is neutered," said Kelsey Lomas, spokeswoman for the county.

A license for a dog not neutered or spayed is $51.50. Yearly licenses are $6.50 for neutered and spayed dogs and $8.50 for others, she said.
