Scare your kid into safe internet use with these creepily realistic Emoji ads

If you’re of the bearded set, you’re probably aware of the intangible powers that facial hair holds. Now, according to Wired, we can add “asset for employment” to the list. That’s right, beards help you get jobs.

Ah, emoji. In graphical text form, they're an adorable, quick way to get your message across. When realistically rendered, though, they're demons come to life from a fever dream. But, then, that's the point.

Developed by ad agency Rosapark for Innocence en Danger, a worldwide non-profit dedicated to fighting child sexual abuse, the ads are designed to get your kids thinking about whom exactly is hiding behind that smiley face in their open browser tab. Bone-chilling, creepy nightmare fuel to be sure. Which is to say, mission accomplished.
