Married
June 6 at Normandy Farm in Blue Bell, with the Rev. Ronald McHatton officiating. A reception for 150 followed.
They met
In fall 2003, Kasey, who is from northwestern Pennsylvania, accepted a job with a finance firm in Horsham and moved to Bensalem. Then things started to get weird.
Kasey was supposed to start her new job in September, but week after week, the company kept putting it off due to a hiring freeze. Her savings and her patience were running out. "I was thinking of moving back home to Warren to work for Dad in the oil business," Kasey said.
Then she found another finance job at a different Horsham company and started in October. In what seemed like minutes, her coworkers were telling her there was this good-looking, single guy at the company and she should meet him. Kasey told them she was involved with someone else. But she did meet Tom at a group outing.
In May 2004, Kasey called it quits with her college boyfriend. A few months later, the work gang arranged a big happy-hour gathering. "It just so happened that everybody backed out except Tom and I," she said.
He asked
Tom grew up in Malvern. His parents now spend summers in Ocean City, N.J., and winters in Florida. In September 2006, Tom called Kasey to ask if she'd take a ride to the beach house with him because his dad was worried about a few things he'd forgotten to do before departing for Florida.
After taking care of the chores, Tom suggested a walk on the beach. "We were out on the jetty, and he's getting sentimental and emotional," Kasey recalled. "He said, 'I grew up here in the summers, and I never found anyone I really wanted to bring home and share this with before you.' "
Tom reached into his pocket, and Kasey gasped. "I thought he was going to pull out a little black box!" But it was his camera. Kasey turned beet red. She hoped Tom hadn't noticed her reaction, and she walked a bit ahead, thinking, "I'm such an idiot. We hadn't gone to look at rings. Why would I think that?"
Tom caught up to her, and got down on one knee in the sand. The ring was hidden in his camera case.
9 to 5
Kasey, 28, is a transition specialist at Aberdeen Asset Management in Philadelphia. Tom, 32, is a commercial mortgage underwriting analyst at Capmark Inc. in Horsham.
Making a home
The couple live in Conshohocken.

Doing it their way
Tom and Kasey chose their wedding venue, with its converted barn and silos, because it reminded Kasey of home. "I grew up with a lot of land and a big, red barn," she said.
This couple love the outdoors, so they married in the courtyard under the sky. Balls of flowers hanging from shepherd's crooks defined the aisles. Kasey carried Tom's grandmother's lace handkerchief as her "something old." She carried her late great-grandmother's handkerchief as her "something blue."
Kasey's bridesmaids wore vivid dark green - it's her favorite color, but Tom likes to think it was for his beloved Eagles.
After the vows, the couple walked back down the aisle to an instrumental version of U2's "Beautiful Day."
Not a dry eye
Kasey had long heard rumors that her non-dancing husband had been caught performing a series of cheesy '80s dance moves on tape. During the best man's toast, a projection screen was lowered from the ceiling, and on it was Tom, in his early 20s, giving it his all. The guests roared with laughter until they cried.
Bloopers
Kasey was so nervous that her voice would come out like a squeaky mouse during her vows that when it was her turn to say "I do," she practically shouted.
