A teenage motorist who police say struck and killed a 62-year-old Evesham man this month has been charged with five traffic violations.

Anthony Schepis III, 19, of Evesham, was driving north on Elwood Road near Greenbrook Drive in Evesham about 8:30 a.m. June 1. He hit Ahilefs Kalaitzi, who was walking on the opposite side of the road near his home, Evesham police Lt. Walt Miller said. Kalaitzi was pronounced dead at Virtua Marlton Hospital.

On June 4, police charged Schepis with traffic violations, including reckless driving and possession of an unprescribed pain medication in a motor vehicle.

Criminal charges have not been filed pending the outcome of toxicology tests administered to Schepis, Miller said.
