Two men face possible life sentences after they were convicted yesterday of running a drug operation in Camden, officials said.

Gary R. Maddox, 33, of Washington Township, and Jason E. McKinnon, 33, of Atco, were found guilty of racketeering and leading a drug-trafficking network after a one-month trial before Superior Court Judge Lee A. Solomon in Camden.

The men were indicted in September 2007 after an investigation by the New Jersey State Police, the Division of Criminal Justice, and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.

Authorities said the organization had distributed several ounces of powder cocaine per week, crack cocaine, methamphetamine, OxyContin, and other narcotics. Sentencing is scheduled for Aug. 7.
