Prince Charles and wife Camilla, duchess of Cornwall, landed in Philly yesterday afternoon for their first visit to our kingdom, where Tastykakes are the finest nectar and Eagles stars rule supreme.

The royals are bunking at the posh Four Seasons, where news trucks were staked out last night.

Although they had no public events last night, Charles and Camilla are gearing up for a jam-packed schedule today, hitting historic hot spots like the Liberty Bell by day and rocking out at the fancy Academy Ball tonight.

If you're dying for a glimpse of the heir to the British throne and perhaps a handshake, here's a list of the places where they will briefly be visible to the public. Also, for your peace of mind, we've included street closures.

Where to catch a glimpse


_ 11:30 a.m. - Taking in some of our history, the royals will arrive at Independence Hall, walking past the Commodore Barry statue to enter the building. Hang out on Walnut Street between 5th and 6th. The couple plan to meet with students at the Liberty Bell, which will be followed by a reception with community leaders at the National Constitution Center. _ 1:50 p.m. - For a taste of Philly culture, Charles and Camilla will view the Mantua mural "Reading: A Journey," at 40th and Pennsgrove streets.

_ 2 p.m. - The couple will then walk over to Heavenly Hall, at 4012 Poplar St., for a reception.

_ 3:05 p.m. - Catch the prince and duchess as they enter the International House at 37th and Chestnut streets. The duchess is to meet students while the prince attends a roundtable discussion of urban-renewal efforts in foreign countries.

_ 6:40 p.m. - In their formal wear, Charles and Camilla will trail up the stairs of the Academy of Music at Broad and Locust streets for the Academy Ball.


_ 10:40 a.m. - After their night of revelry, the royals will worship at Arch Street Presbyterian Church on 17th and Arch streets, the spiritual home of the Welsh community in Philadelphia.

Street closures


_ 5 p.m. - Broad Street between Walnut and Spruce streets will be closed in both directions.

_ 10 p.m. - Broad Street between Locust and Spruce streets will reopen in both directions.


_ 6 a.m. - One northbound lane of Broad street between Walnut and Locust will reopen.

_ Noon -All of Broad will be open.
